Material Distribution Services is a department within Purchasing Services and is located at the Verona Operations facility.
Commonly referred to as “MDS”, the department houses UW–Madison’s redelivery services, manages inventories and catalogs for numerous entities, and provides warehousing space for campus schools/colleges/divisions and other State of Wisconsin Agencies. Additionally, MDS administers the ShopUW+ MDS-CORESTOCK catalog, with access to next-business-day delivery of commonly consumed items inventoried at MDS.

MDS Services
Receiving and Delivery
Most ShopUW+ orders are received at the MDS warehouse where they are sorted and labeled for tracking to their end delivery destination. MDS also offers expedited same-day shipping, and can perform specialized deliveries of difficult-to-move items.
Warehouse Storage Rental
The Verona Operations MDS warehouse offers a variety of convenient storage rental and service options to University of Wisconsin departments and other State of Wisconsin agencies.
MDS Operational Support for ShopUW+
The ShopUW+ Essentials website is your hub for everything ShopUW+ related including access to routinely consumed items inventoried at MDS and available through the MDS-CORESTOCK catalog. MDS still provides limited support of some ShopUW+ functions.

Our facility is located just south of the HWY 18/151 Exit 79 in Verona. There is a large UW Crest on the side of the building, making it easy to find from either Thousand Oaks Trail, or American Way.

Please note: Verona Operations closes on State-observed holidays.
The MDS receiving dock accepts parcel and palletized deliveries Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
The MDS dock is located on the south side of the facility and carriers should use one of the bays #4 through #8 which are easily accessed by using the south parking lot entrance.
